All-purpose grain separators

All-purpose grain separator of Mega series is intended for preliminary, primary and secondary cleaning of grain and seeds of spiked crops, legumes, cereals and canola.
Machine is used as an air-sieve separator incorporated into production lines, providing food grain or seed material. Mechanisms do not require adjustment (automatic belt tensioners and geared motors are used).

Design and operation

► All-purpose grain separator of Mega series includes sieve module, loading device, primary and main pneumatic separators. Grain material by the feeder is uniformly distributed across the width of the separator and is sent for purification from lightweight impurities into a preliminary pneumatic separator.

► Further, the grain enters into the sieve module, where separation of grain according to the geometrical parameters is made: large impurities are separated on the top sieves and the weed seeds on bottom. Cleaning of screening segments of the sieves is performed with rubber balls. Grain material that passes cleaning in the sieve module goes to the main pneumatic separating unit for cleaning according to aerodynamic features. Cleaning of exhaust air from aspirated impurities is performed in a cyclone.

Specific features of design

► separator performs separation of the flow of the grain material into 3 - 7 fractions;

► modular system of aspiration can be supplied in various versions: p–preliminary, i – commodity, s – seed cleaning;

► z-scheme of arrangement of sieve surfaces provides accurate sorting of material;

► change of functional purpose of the sieve planes is admitted by way of replacement of receiving trays;

► driving mechanisms do not require adjustment (automatic belt tensioners and motor-reducers are used).
